Transgender Day of Remembrance

Sunday, November 20th was Christ the King Sunday, but also a day of remembrance. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. It was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998.

We were so blessed to have guest preacher Mark Cuilla break open the word for us for this important day. You can listen to his sermon here.
